Welcome to the Calhoun Area Career Center’s 10th Grade Program Visits. While the event will look a bit different this year, being virtual instead of in-person, our goal remains the same; to help match you to a CACC program that best aligns with your career development plan.

Please rest assured that we will do our very best to get you the information you need to decide if there is a CACC program that will help prepare you for the next step in your educational journey.

About Us

The Calhoun Area Career Center (CACC) provides 20 career and technical education programs for area 11th and 12th grade students, serving both public and private school districts throughout the Calhoun Intermediate School District (CISD).

The CACC programs have been designed to assist students by integrating academic knowledge and career/technical skills with the flexibility to meet the individual student’s needs.

The involvement and support of business and industry have been a key component to the CACC’s success. Employers want students to be prepared in the areas of science, mathematics, and technology, as well as have problems solving, teamwork, and communication skills. The CACC staff believe that ALL students should graduate from high school with career and technical skills that support success in their chosen career path.

The session you attend is determined by your sending school
The first step is to communicate with your counselor at your sending school to let them know you are interested in attending the CACC. From there they will be able to determine program availability, eligibility, etc.
Each sending school is allocated a certain number of seats in each program, so the number of students interested in the particular program impacts availability. It is best to let your counselor know of your interest to attend the CACC as soon as possible.
While we hope to do our very best to answer any questions you may have, it is possible that you may leave this virtual event with additional questions. Each instructor will provide contact information at the end of their presentation, should you want to follow up with them directly. If more information is needed your sending school counselor is always a great resource and can provide additional guidance.
